This was my first day of hosting on Sirius Stream 131, The Trucking Channel.
I did the first two hours (5am to 7am Central) from the ABC Radio Networks building here in Dallas. I'm training to be a substitute host for Mark Willis, the News Director for ABC Radio Networks. I've learned that the Trucking Channel on Sirius commands 25% of it's subscriber base, according to an article on Yahoo. The article says that truckers are buying Sirius receivers to get the Trucking Channel. Doing the show is a lot of work but a great deal of fun. Good work. Co-host Elizabeth Walsh in New York is a joy to work with. Not only does she sound great, but she constantly impresses me with her knowledge. She's just the kind of person I like to play off of on a radio show. I only hope I do as well for her. Mark Willis, who hired me, is a great guy to work for. He's a consumate pro; smooth, steady, and always in control. Before today, Mark had me on as a guest and his professionalism as a moderator made it easy for me to be at my best. So, if you've been undecided as to which satellite service to get for your car or home, now you have a reason to get Sirius!
