Yesterday, updated Mac Powerbooks were announced in Paris by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. I had been waiting for this! As soon as I woke up and read the announcement, I called MacMall.com and ordered a new 17" Powerbook. It'll ship in about two weeks. I can't wait!
I shot an interview for NBC Nightly News yesterday. It was with a doctor who had done a study on ALS and Gulf War Syndrome. I then had the afternoon off and went to see "Dickie Roberts, Former Child Star". It was cute and very interesting to see all the real former child stars all through the movie. The ending (not part of the plot so I'm not giving anything away) is the gathering of all the former child stars to sing over the credits. It's kinda like the old Coke "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" video. The former child stars are all grouped in a studio and the song is about how people pester them and call them by the name of the character they played. Very funny.
I get a lot of jokes via email and I read them, but I only pass along a few. As an aside, I never pass along emails that tell me to pass them along and threaten dire consequences if I don't. Anyway, there was one joke that was quoted from the old Hollywood Squares show that had be laughing out loud until I teared up! Here it is:
Q: Imagine you are a child in your mother's womb, can you detect light?
A: Paul Lynde: Only during ballet practice.
